Your plants are not ashtrays

News

Last week , a fire started on the balcony of one of our buildings. Luckily, nobody was hurt. However, considerable damage was caused by the fire and the Mtl fire department in their evacuation plan.

The fire department concluded that a cigarette butt was left in a flower pot and later ignited and caused the fire. The type of soil used in plantations is made of a mix of fertilizers and organic materials. (peat moss, wood chips, polystyrene or vermiculite) are highly flammable.
