Ski Ta Vie, a ski relay challenge created in 2022 by two fathers who lost their father to cancer at an early age. Jean-Guy Roy and Louis Charles Durocher have found a way to partner with organizations dedicated to the mission of alleviating suffering, and create a high-potential charity event.
The event will be held on March 16 and 17 at Mont-Orford for its 3rd edition. Combining sports and fundraising, teams will take to the slopes for a memorable day. Our colleague Carl Yacovelli joins the challenge with his team, Les Gardiens de la Galaski.
Funds raised will be distributed among various foundations in the Eastern Townships, and will contribute to, among other things:
- Prolong or improve quality of life through the advancement of health care;
- Solidify the foundations for the future lives of the younger generations by bridging their lack of resources;
- Provide financial assistance to cancer patients so they can focus on their recovery.
George Gantcheff, founder of Cromwell, and his wife Dominique, have generously contributed to this fundraising initiative and are proud to be able to support this cause.
