Founded in 2020 by Sophie Prégent and Charles Lafortune, parents of a young adult with autism, Mathis, the Fondation Autiste & majeur‘s mission is “to improve the quality of life and integration into society of adults with autism by funding programs for ongoing development, learning retention and further education”.
Whether working closely with organizations offering adapted education and training, or with companies enabling autistic people with varying levels of autonomy to work in integrated workplaces and sheltered workshops, or to participate in internships, the Foundation is a major player and an indispensable support for families of autistic children. Their support for day centers, which enable young adults with autism to acquire skills linked to autonomy, while offering respite to often exhausted parents, is also important.
Cromwell is proud to associate itself with this cause by being a “Gold” partner in the 4th edition of their fundraising event “Grande soirée et cause majeure”, which will take place on February 27, 2025, at the Grand Quai du Port de Montréal, and whose theme will be circus chic-vintage.
In the meantime, an online auction, scheduled to open on February 20, will enable all those who wish to participate, whether present or not at the “Grande soirée”, to purchase various items and prizes donated by local companies, all to the benefit of the Fondation Autiste & Majeur. We invite you to participate in large numbers. You can also make a donation at any time on their website.
