In Quebec City, Mr. George Gantcheff, founder and CEO of Cromwell Management, organized a meeting between the famous football player Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and young members of the Elite Desjardins Ford cyclist team.
The doctor embraced the idea despite his busy agenda from his Laurent Duvernay-Tardif Foundation.
Alex Harvey, silver medalist at the FIS Cross-Country Skiing World Cup Quebec 2019, also joined the event later in the day.
All three organizations receive financial support from Cromwell. The entrepreneur wants to get involved in the new generation of athletes to allow them to achieve their goal in the discipline in which they excel. All of them value the importance of healthy habits in their daily life to contribute to both physical and intellectual performance.
The main goal was to create a friendly gathering. Mr. Gantcheff wanted to allow our performance athletes to share their challenges from having to conciliate elite sport and studies. With great eloquence, LDT spoke honestly on the subject and was able to capture the attention of all the people in the room. He spoke personally to the young athletes and seemed eager to answer each and every question.
It was obvious by watching the team focus on what LDT was saying that everyone recognized themselves in the accomplishment of the great football player. This inspiring encounter is part of a series of altruistic gestures that will inspire our young teenagers.
