Hive Opening and Health Check in Toronto

News, Urban Beekeeping

It has been a kind winter for our hive at 1291 Bayview in Toronto. When our beekeeper, Rachel Lucas, visited on April 7th, she found our little workers to be healthy and ready for the new season.

According to her, our bees are wearing the new trend this spring; “pollen pants”. In the photo she shared with us, it’s easy to see. They are at work and have already enjoyed the first blooms.
