You need to get home insurance. Protecting yourself in the event of a claim means peace of mind. Accidents can happen to your apartment or your neighbor’s apartment and damage your belongings: fire, theft, vandalism or water damage.<\/p>

Does your insurance cover your belongings, personal effects and damage to others?<\/p>

Your personal coverage should reimburse you for damage to your belongings in your home, but beyond that, your home insurance should also cover you for third-party liability. It’s a good idea to look at several insurance brokers or agents to get an idea of prices and coverage. You can also use our online tool, which will offer you the best possible price from an insurer chosen according to your answers. Have some information on hand, including an inventory of your possessions and their approximate value. In the insurance industry, the deductible is the amount you pay in the event of a claim. Let’s say your home is damaged in a claim covered by your insurance policy.
